Discipleship - a very powerful book. When I started reading it, Heinrich Arnold's words pierced me like a double-edged sword, calling to make a choice between truth and falsehood, salvation and sin, samopozhertvova tion and selfishness, light and darkness, God and the devil. At first I did not want to stand face to face with such an uncompromising choice. I would prefer that the saving message of the New Testament has been more loyal, pleasant, comfortable and bringing inner peace and harmony.

But Arnold reminds me that God's peace and quiet different from the mundane, that the grace of the Gospel is not the same as the grace of this world, and that the freedom of the New Testament is not something that "vsedozvolen of" modern humanity. The Gospel calls for a choice, a radical choice, which is not always pleasant, light and festive.

However, in the words of Arnold is not harsh bigotry or self-righteousness. On the contrary, they breathe love. Strong, true love, the one that flows from the heart of our Savior. Arnold's words have healing powers because they are not based on some idea, ideology or theory, but on the personal knowledge of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the center of his inspiration, experience and care expressed in this book. It really is a book centered on Christ.
