In the fall of 2008, Victoria is sent to Maine, where Ellen Dunnigan's body has just been found. The modus operandi and the video sent to the police and the press leave no doubt about the identity of the killer: The East Coast Torturer has struck again! The autopsy reveals no evidence as the serial killer thoroughly washed the body. Once again, the killer made no mistake.
While in her motel room, Victoria stumbles upon a report by Paloma Hernandez, a journalist who has covered all crimes with the signature of the East Coast Murderer. Hernandez is highly critical of the FBI's and Victoria's lack of progress. This does not prevent Hernandez from calling and asking Victoria to meet with her later that evening. Hernandez claims that she has so-called evidence on the killer. Victoria flatly refuses. Minutes later, Paloma is kidnapped by the Tormentor...
Still Life 2 remains true to the spirit of its first installment, but now allows you to play and control two characters connected by the same destiny. This time, the goal is to control two heroines, see the game from two complementary perspectives and experience two different gameplay experiences. Depending on whether you play as Paloma Hernandez, the victim being hunted by the killer, or Victoria McPherson, the FBI agent hunting him down, you can alternate between survival and investigation.
