Touring of a shepherd on American plains

During my first visit to US in 2004 I was making some kind of travel notes because prior departure from my native country (Turkmenistan) I kept in mind an idea to write a book on seen and tested things and adventures. In couple years upon coming back it was released a small brochure “Prompts and hints to enter Americans’ everyday life”, provided briefly preliminary introduction regarding joining to mode of the life in US. It is been looked like a peculiar guide book or some kind of step-by-step manual. Then short stories and essays, based on different aspects of mentalities, were added to those notes. Naturally I believe: to understand people, to perceive their pains and successes, a one should investigate their mode of everyday life and, simultaneously, to deliver his own way of thinking. Americans have one saying which it is possible to approach differently – with irony, humor, sarcasm: “How would you know what a nice person I am if I should not tell you myself?” Now, after several years passed, I am able to mention with some percent of confidence: “In those areas of US which I visited, about my native country Turkmenistan a lot of local people know not by hearsay…»
