Archeology of the USSR. Arch of archaeological sources. Release B4-12. V.N. Chernetsov. Rock paintings of the Urals. 1971
This issue is the second part of the work devoted to the rock paintings of the Urals. The first part, published in 1904, contained a description of the writings of the p. Tagil (№ 1 - 14 on the general scheme; see fig. 1), information on the history of the study of Ural pianists and some considerations on their dating and possible purpose. This paper presents a presentation of the material but to other points of the Trans-Urals and the Ural region. Most of them are given in copies made during the work of your expedition, but some pisanitsy, for one reason or another, turned out to be inaccessible to the pas, are given only in sketches and photographs of other authors (mainly V. Tolmachyov, whose works have already been mentioned in the first parts). The book provides an analysis and classification of subjects and deals with issues related to the content, purpose and origin of the Ural writings.
