The book covers all the issues of creation of new components in the system programming Borland® Delphi ™.
The book consists of three parts. The first is devoted to the implementation of object-oriented model, which is the basis of any newly created component.
The second part of the report focuses on all the details of the process of creating the components, including the choice of the parent class, a module component and incorporate it into an existing or new package, the creation of properties, methods and events, testing and debugging component and its registration in the environment Delphi. We also consider the creation of particular components for working with databases, the problem of development of custom property editors and components, the development of context-sensitive help, and its connection to the directory service Delphi. The features create the components in the latest version of today Delphi 8.0, as well as the differences between different versions that must be considered when designing components.
