The plot of the game is built around a certain ancient race named fal'Sieh. It existed even before the emergence of the human race. All people marked fal'Sieh for the sake of higher goals, were called el'Sieh. Many years ago (more precisely, thirteen centuries ago), the mystical Crystal gave the order to Fal'Sieh to create a paradise for people. They repaired and created the city in the form of a shell, and named it Cocoon. After some time, the city appeared its own Crystal and created life and cars for its inhabitants. The people of Cocoon began to flourish. As Cocoon soared in the air above the surface of the world Pulse, its inhabitants began to fear that their city might simply fall from the sky. Residents of the floating city believed that being on the surface of Pulse had a very negative effect on people, and the Holy Government of Cocoon decided to isolate all those who fell under this negative influence.
The gameplay itself begins with the attack of people from Pulse on the heavenly city of Cocoon. At the head of the attack is a certain Lightning (Lightning) - one of the main characters in the game Final Fantasy XIII.
The action of Final Fantasy XIII takes place in the futuristic world of Pulse, which is populated by dangerous representatives of flora and fauna. To defend against gloomy and harsh reality, a certain falCie race created the floating city of Cocoon, but this only intensified the conflict with the indigenous inhabitants of the planet. The player gets six different characters, although observational Lightning becomes a key figure. At the same time, the player controls only one character, and the actions of the remaining team members are determined by roles. There are six of them in the game, and by the end of the game all six heroes gain access to each role (initially each has abilities in only three directions). However, up to the tenth chapter (there are thirteen total in the game), the player is not allowed to independently compose a team and choose the main character. Multiple storylines and skillful use of flashbacks are what make Final Fantasy XIII's story fun. The combat system of the game is incredibly simple at first, but gradually turns into one of the smartest and most interesting systems among all games in the Final Fantasy series. It is based on the classic ATB (Active Time Battle) system. The system is designed so that it is better to choose one command at a time - this way you can turn up combos and, in especially difficult situations, entrust different tasks to the heroes. During the battles, the characters will be able to summon various creatures to help, thereby making the battle more interesting and varied. One of the drawbacks of the game compared to other games in this series may be considered the lack of mini-games in Final Fantasy XIII. Given the constant tension, fast rhythm and a bunch of "little fights" that are characteristic of the Final Fantasy XIII combat system, it is easy to understand why the game is so exciting.
