The difference between this book from other courses of thermodynamics is that the authors have somewhat departed from the usual deductive construction of the course and start with general information about the heat needed for further discussion. The reader requires only familiarity with the general physics and minimal information from mathematical analysis. Therefore, the book is available and will be useful to readers for the first time embarking on the study of thermodynamics.
