ABE Kobo. Face of Another

The main character, the head of the chemical laboratory in a prominent institute in experiments completely damages the face of the explosion of the liquid oxygen. Shortly after leaving the hospital, he went to Osaka supposedly on a business trip. He rents an apartment in a nondescript house S. and makes him his "refuge." Suffering from loneliness, he decides to put on a disfigured face mask. A talented scientist, he decided to create the mask itself that performs successfully. Mask turned so like a real face that you could safely go out and even smile. But from that moment, a split personality of the hero in the "I" and "mask".
